The study session : Perspective of Raicho Hiratsuka

We invited Professor Emeritus Hiroko Kurata for our study session. She explained the life of Raicho Hiratsuka who is JWU alumni, the first literary magazine “Bluestocking” by women and its philosophy, the influence of Professor Naruse Jinzo, the controversy over maternity protection, the “New Women’s Association” movement, and the postwar peace movement. During the question and answer session, many opinions and questions were received and lively discussions took place.
